Team Basilan Council meeting 2013

Conference Room, Capitol Building, Basilan-Thursday January 3, 2013- The Team Basilan Council meeting presided by Provincial Administrator Madam Tahira Ismael-Sansawi attended by the majority member of the Team Basilan Council, the sectoral group led by AFP and PNP representatives and Nagdilaab Foundation, Inc. by no less Meriam “Dedeth” Suatico Executive Dir.

The agenda of the meeting will focus on the consolidation reports of the participation of Team Basilan to resolve the ongoing internal management crisis of TARBIDC Cooperative.

The Team identified already the root causes of the problem done by direct focus discussion group and direct consultation with both management and member beneficiaries of the Cooperative.

The unremitted SSS Premium and Philhealth Contributions, the delayed of Salary of workers and the delayed releases of retirement benefits for the retirees of the Cooperative members.

Coop members demand for more transparency and accountability from the management for the business operation of TARBIDC.

The TARBIDC also need government supports both from local and national government.

The management of Coop needs to improve the business and financial transaction, the mode of communication and the hiring of employees.

After the collated Committee reports from the Team who visited TARBIDC last December 2012, they formed small group who is going to analyze the consolidated reports for final recommendation to the Council and perhaps to draft the recommendation for resolution, and then submitted to the Council for the final draft of the resolution.
